NextGen Leaders is the Northeast affiliate of the PeaceJam Foundation, which was nominated for the 2008 Nobel Peace Prize. Our purpose is to inspire and equip young people to step up and actively engage in creating a future that they can be proud of - a peaceful, just world, full of hope and opportunity.
We believe that the inspiration of Nobel Peace Laureates, combined with the education and action components of PeaceJam education programs serve as a catalyst for a new generation of young leaders to commit to personal change, and being a force for change in their communities and the world.
Founded in 2006, our PeaceJam programs and youth conferences have touched the lives of over 2,000 young people in over 100 urban, suburban, and rural locations in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont, who have joined over half a million others in a 14-year old international youth peace movement.
